We’re kicking off 2025 with a brand-new committee, ready to lead SWGMC into another fantastic year!

Huge congratulations to our new Chair, Gavin Hawkins! Having been part of the choir since 2008, Gavin is stepping up to help guide us through what promises to be an incredible year. In his own words:

"From being a member and seeing the chorus grow from 2008, it’s an honour and a privilege to step up and give back to an amazing group of people that has given me so much joy over the years."

We’re also thrilled to welcome Simon Rees, Martin Keeble, and Jonny Evans to the committee. Their passion and fresh ideas will help drive SWGMC forward as we continue to grow.

At the same time, we want to say a huge thank you to our outgoing committee members, Owen Thomas, Tim Heywood, and Mike Tang. Your dedication, time, and hard work have been invaluable, and we’re so grateful for everything you’ve done to support the choir.

With our biggest-ever membership, an exciting Disco Summer Concert in the works, and a fresh committee at the helm, 2025 is shaping up to be a year to remember. Here’s to another year of music, friendship, and unforgettable moments!
